Vintage Cookery Tips–the fish and broken yolk ones are intriguing!
Why You Shouldn’t use the Self Cleaning function on your oven. Do you use this? I never have, I just scrub, scrub with baking soda and vinegar–oven cleaner if I must. I’m scared of it…and now I guess I can feel okay about it!
LOVE, love, LOVE this Geo Lantern DIY.

We bought a new oven in January and are totally afraid to self clean it because it said the fumes could kill pet birds. We just clean it as best we can with baking soda and lots of elbow grease. I’ll have to remember to try the vinegar though, I use it for everything else, so it makes sense to use it in the oven.

oh, no! I like to spritz a little diluted vinegar solution onto the baking soda, so it reacts and then scrub away. I find it lifts the grease with a little less work.
