Vintage Cookery Tips–the fish and broken yolk ones are intriguing!
Why You Shouldn’t use the Self Cleaning function on your oven. Do you use this? I never have, I just scrub, scrub with baking soda and vinegar–oven cleaner if I must. I’m scared of it…and now I guess I can feel okay about it!
LOVE, love, LOVE this Geo Lantern DIY.
Yowayowa Camera Woman Diary is an ever-fave. The most recent levitation is scary!
Beach House dreamz…mostly, I want that outdoor clawfoot tub/shower!
Awkward Recognize Awkward. I know all about the Nerd Chills and what it is to be truly, painfully, debilitatingly awkward, too. It’s not always a joke (sometimes it is…let’s be real), but we’re in it together…right?
This shower curtain is basically a nightmare. A horrible, recurring, mass produced nightmare.
Even though I am already married and I never want to plan another wedding for myself…I am absolutely smitten with these witchy & bewitching wedding ideas.
This Raspberry Sorbet + Ginger Beer Float and this Roasted Provolone are both so deliciously gorgeous in different ways. I need more fancy floats and skillets of melted cheese in my life…obvi.
If I were to win a gold medal, this is the one I’d win.
Oh, hey! I have a ton of delicious things planned for the next few weeks…including more ice pops (I’m obsessed, okay?). For now, here are the links that turned my head the last week.
Sean likes math, I like words…this tapped into my inner nerd. Common words explained with math.
This post, Blueberry Bruisers: In Support of Pride Everywhere by I Heart Big Flavor, is good stuff with a solid message.
This article, Julia Child’s Recipe for a Thoroughly Modern Marriage, had me smiling and tearing up. It had me appreciating my thoroughly modern marriage just that much more.
These 3 Yelp reviews read by actors, holy heck, this had me LOL-ing for reals. “My meal was delectable, exotic, and incinerated everything in my intestines.”
There are a few web-comics that I read on the regular…for like, years now…nerd alert. Books of Adam is a fave and this one has a message that I think we can all pretty much relate to. Real life stuff, hilariously illustrated.
Links this week are a bit light as my whirlwind trip back to Reno was BUSY to the max. It was really nice being disconnected for a few days and participate in a dear friends wedding, so I’m back and I have our giveaway results, but first…
A goat named Buttermilk, kick-flipping off her goat friends. OMG. That’s all I can say.
Mary! You won! Shoot me an email w/ your mailing address and I’ll get your goodies out to you…congrats!
That deer up there and I had a staring contest. I took it’s picture. I won!
This is amazingly ridiculous. So much snuggie action!
Everyone loves a photo booth. Everyone. Proof here.
I want these and this kitchen, please.
Martha Stewart got new kittens...and, Oh, Martha bites all her new kittens. On the face*. So they know she’s their mother, duh. I cannot even begin to tell you how much this info delights me.
*PS, Sean totes did this with both of our dogs.
I am traveling today and this weekend back to Nevada for my BFF’s wedding. I’ll have posts for you guys, but I’ll be otherwise attending to my bride’s matron duties and hanging with my baby niece for the next few days!
First thing, sweet mama Naomi just welcomed her third babe into the world! Naomi takes the prettiest, dreamiest, real-life images and I was honored when she asked me to do a post for her a few weeks ago. I made little berry topped cakes (pictured above), the recipe is up on her blog Of Anselm.
These birthday hat fascinators are so dang cute! They would be such a fun DIY for any celebration.
Tracy just posted them this morning, but dang! I could definitely go for one of these boozy Pina Colada pops anytime.
I saw this on Facebook when Shauna posted it and then again when Tracy did, it’s just too good. There are a lot of rude people out there on the internets, and haters, they gonna hate…this girl owns it.
I’m obsessed with lots of things all the time.
Lately, I’m loving this herringbone mani.
I am addicted to design shows and The Kitchen Cousins are killing me with every episode…like the one where they installed PINK QUARTZ counters AND Heath Ceramic tiles. It’s just too good. And, really, they’re always so excited and that’s just adorable.
These photos, a tribute to her late mother, by photographer Kirsty Mitchell are just so stunningly whimsical. So much work and thought, they are like Wonderland for reals.
Today, July 4th, is a national holiday here in the US–a day we celebrate our independence with bbq’s, pyrotechnics, parades, and summertime camaraderie. So, this link list will be short and silly as I have major plans to lounge, eat, drink, lounge some more, and indulge my inner pyro with boxes of sparklers. Cheers!
The Bluth’s are one of my favorite America television families. They all have a take on how a chicken behaves and this diagram breaks it down. To see it action, watch this video–”Chickens don’t clap!”
And, even more chicken adventures, by way of My Drunk Kitchen. Hannah has an uncomfortable few moments with this chicken and that beer. “It get’s fowl.” Awkwardness and Hilarity.
This made me LOL for real. I’ve tried to bake gluten-free for friends and have failed miserably. So, I hang my head in shame and leave it to the pros.
Well, that’s it! Happy Birthday America!
