Guys, we have finally finished packing.
HUGE SIGH!
Most of our belongings are now Tetris’d into an 6’3″D x 7’W x 8’4″ storage cube that will be shipped to our new, little apartment in Portland…not only am I excited that we are moving to a new and exciting city, I’m SO HAPPY that we are done packing, because let’s be real…it’s stressful.
So, now that all of that craziness is over, I can take a beat and share my 13 favorite foodstuffs from 2013.
Yay, food!
1. Coconut + Chocolate Chip Cream Scones 2. Orange Chocolate Chip Pancakes
3. Maple Brown Derby Ice Pops 4. Honeydew Mint Ice Pops
5. Oatmeal Brownies (wheat-free!) 6. Apricot Almond Crunch Frozen Yogurt
7. Lady Picnic co-hosted with my girl, Take A Megabite
8. Asian Slaw Steak Salad 9. Blackberry Ginger Smash
10. Chocolate Dipped Coconut + Rum Popsicles 11. Chicken and Waffle Melts
12. Pumpkin Brown Butter Malt Mini Donuts
13. Nutty Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
That’s it! It was pretty dang difficult to choose just 13 favorite bites from 2013, but I managed to do it…tough life, I know. Even though I am still on a cooking hiatus for the next week or so, I am so excited to get to cooking in 2014 in a brand new space and to see what Oregon does to inspire my recipes.
Cheers to all good things this 2014!!
I love all these too! If only we could’ve hosted many more lady parties! <3
truth! it was the prettiest party ever!
Oh man, you did have so much deliciousness in 2013! The lady picnic was really the best!! Portland is so lucky to be getting you 🙂
Thanks, lady!
Beautiful pictures, it seems to have been a great year and 2014 will even be better. Let’s see if Oregon will also see a lady picnic as cool as this one 🙂
Thank you! I hope to have some fun stuff happening in 2014 🙂
I love when bloggers do the round ups; makes you remember to bookmark what you forgot to AND makes you see what you missed months ago!
**coconut cream scones!!
Thanks, Dawn! Those coconut cream scones are pretty damn dreamy.
Congrats, that’s exciting! Good luck with the move and with unpacking…that’s always the toughest part for me! Can we talk about how I neeeed one of those coconut popsicles in my life right now? Because it’s hot, and I do. Please and thank you.
Thanks, lady! Those coconut popsicles are pretty great, if I do say so 🙂
Moving is such a stressful thing – I’ve only ever done it within the same city, so I can bet that it’s extra stressful for you moving to an entirely new one. This recap is great because it reminded me of a few of your recipes that I’ve been meaning to try! I think those oatmeal brownies might need to be the first thing I make…
Good luck with your move – take care friend!
So stressful, but totally worth it. Thanks, girl!
I just love your recipes and photography. Congratulations on your move to Portland, if you need any tips on what to do and more importantly where to eat I can offer suggestions. I love living in Portland and the food here is really amazing!
Definitely shoot me an email with suggestions…I can always use more! Thanks, Tina!
