Brownie Milkshake

September 14, 2015 by Leave a Comment

Brownie MilkshakeYou guys, this milkshake is real serious. It combines what amounts to 2 brownies with a pint (!) of ice cream and whips it up into a half-frozen concoction that the hedonist in all of us dreams of. In fact, the real title of this milkshake is “Like a fat kid loves…Milkshake.” The always clever and vibrant Sarah from The Sugar Hit just released her first book, The Sugar Hit!: Sweets That Pack a Punch!,
and nestled among the signature graphics are recipes like this one. I love this gal and her amazing food brain–check out this Jam Donut Bundt number she created as a guest post for this blog just last summer! The book has recipes for all times of the day and occasions–Breakfast & brunch, Coffee Break, Midnight Snacks, Party Time, Happy Holidays, and Healthy Junk…because I guess we can’t live off of Homemade Tim Tams, Garbage Brownies, and Giant Cinnamon Buns alone. The recipe for this milkshake in the book calls for a whole slice of birthday cake but, since I had none on hand (obviously, I’m living wrong), I subbed it out for two fudgy brownies and I think it worked out just fine. #MATH

Brownie Milkshake

I used coffee ice cream for this because it’s been my favorite since I was a (weirdo) kid. Use whatever you like! Whipped cream, cherry, and sprinkles optional…but, absolutely encouraged.

This is definitely a milkshake I can get behind. Also, I think life would be a happier place if every day involved birthday cake, fa’ sho!
