This week has been pretty fun. I ate a bunch of chips with some cool bloggers from here and elsewhere and met an enormous frog (evidence was seen on snapchat). It was lovely meeting some local faces, too, since I’m a hermit and need to get out more. I also got to have drinks and chit chat with Tracy and Melissa, in person, and I felt like I was amongst people I could be friends with in real life. I missed my little guy, but it was pretty amazing getting to come home to Casper being excited to see me! Since we’re together so much, I don’t really get the homecoming-excitement from him much, so that was pretty sweet. I even got a bunch of kisses, which he has been denying me, but awarding Sean, a lot lately.
Even though I spent a good chunk of two days away from my computer, I still managed to peep a bunch of delicious internet foods. I do what I can, guys.
Glazed Apple Cider Donuts–the glaze on these guys looks perfect.
How to Make Good Coffee at Home-I think Melissa convinced me of the importance of a slow coffee ritual.
Almond Joy Rolls–I once had almond-joy pancakes at yearbook camp in Idaho (I was a cool teenager, obvs). These are the cinnamon roll version!
Polar-Opposite Poundcakes–I have my eye on that chocolate, hazelnut, banana number.
Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte w/ Salted Pumpkin Spice Syrup–I had a PSL a few weeks ago and I’m still on the fence. This one looks lovely, though!
Mexican Granola–this recipe has amaranth, cacao nibs, and peanuts, color me intrigued.
Black Sesame Cake with Marshmallow Spiderwebs–WHOA. Look at that cake.
Saucy Chicken Sandwiches with Pomegranate BBQ Sauce–that sauce is on the agenda, asap.
Spaghetti Squash Fritters with Dill Yogurt–these fritters are WAFFLED. Yes.
Cannoli Pound Cake–I have a thing for ricotta in sweet things. This looks amazing.
Around these parts this week:
Chocolate Espresso Snickerdoodles–from Billy’s book!
