It’s #totoroweek! Meaning there are a bunch of cute Totoro inspired foods on the internets this week. I mentioned it in my last post, but Casper is dressing as Totoro for Halloween and his grandma, Sean’s mom, will be here to spend the holiday with us. I’m pretty excited for his costume and for him to have some solid grandma time.
Here’s some of that Totoro cuteness, plus other tasty things as well. Check out I Am A Food Blog today for a roundup of the links for #totoroweek!
Japanese Kabocha Pumpkin Toasts with Totoro Egg Toasts–those egg toasts are just too good.
Totoro Soot Sprite Avocado Onigiri–I think the Soot Sprite character is so cute, it’s like a furry black ball with eyes and I just love how whimsical these onigiri are! Also, I love roasted seaweed.
Totoro Pancakes–I want a Totoro cookie cutter just so I can make pancakes (and anything else) Totoro shaped.
My Neighbor Totoro Cake Tutorial–Lyndsay always brings the cuteness with her cakes, this blue Totoro is awesome.
Totoro Cronuts–I am just amazed by these. Also, I want to eat 3 in a row.
Black Sesame Craquelin Totoro Cream Puffs–damn!
Other non-Totoro foods:
Baked Onion Rings–these are coated in crushed red curry chips!!
Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies–always my favorite flavor combo.
Slutty Brownie Cake–INSANE.
Peanut Butter Banana Cups–gimme.
The Chilly Irishman–I’d drink the heck outta this.
From around these parts:
Totoro Black Sesame Shortbread
Salted Almond Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Have fantastic, safe, and spooky weekend!!
