With next week being the big holiday here for being thankful and gathering around food with family and friends, I couldn’t ignore what’s happening in our world right now. I’ve been looking for words, but there really isn’t anything I can say that will do the state of things any justice. I just wanted to address that stuff is kind of crappy for a lot of people right now and for lack of a better word, it sucks. I’ve been heartsick, and that’s just from thinking about things. I’m not even living it. I try not to get too serious and emotional in this space because that’s just not what this blog is about. I’m still going to share some links, because even if things like this feel trivial in the grand scheme, gathering around food and sharing with people we love is still important.
Cranberry Ginger Whiskey Smash–with homemade ginger liqueur!!
Black-Bottomed Pecan Pie–aka, chocolate pecan pie!
Walnut Sage Tea Ring with Maple Icing–inspired by the best show ever.
Orange Salted Pistachio Chocolate Chunk Cookies–because chocolate chip cookies, always.
Pumpkin Pie with Speculoos Cookie Crust with Creme Fraiche Swirl–that swirl!!
Open Face Turkey Burger with Apple Bourbon Gravy–I’m always a fan of over the top turkey burgers.
Hummus & Tahina with Soft Boiled Eggs and Everything Bagel Spice–just, wow.
Brussels Sprout Pasta with Lemon Cream Sauce–pure comfort.
and a few pies in case you need some ideas:

What on earth are those brownie/muffin looking things in the top picture?!?! They are calling my name!! And I have some similar recipes saved this week! But somehow missed that tea ring…game changer.
