Pomegranate Ginger Spritzer

Pomegranate Ginger Spritzer by @cindyr

I’m going to keep this short because, honestly, I’m thinking about my Thanksgiving grocery game plan and how to most efficiently get it accomplished with my child in tow. My mom is here, so thank goodness for that! Also, my list is written and broken down by store and aisle. So, I have this quick Pomegranate Ginger Spritzer to share for your last minute cocktail needs. (PS, on Wednesday there will be a super-easy little snacky thing to serve with this cocktail. I got you covered, girl).

This cocktail is a variation of one of my summertime favorites, the wine spritzer, but dressed up for the holidays. I love this drink because it’s refreshing, easy to drink, and low proof–which means you can have a few and still make it to the table without falling face first into your mashed potatoes. It has decidedly more wintry flavors than this Lime Rose number from the summer–pomegranate, spicy ginger, and a little orange for good measure.  Another great thing about this, it’s mixed up by the batch. I’m a big believer in mixing up drinks in a pitcher–who wants to stand around measuring out each cocktail ounce-by-ounce? Not me, I have snacking and chatting and toddler chasing and turkey juggling to do. All the more reason to have dem dranks ready to pour.

I’d like to meet the person who falls face first into their mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving! But I’m happy that won’t be me (here’s hoping). This drink looks great!
