I’d Eat That

I'd Eat That

Guys, last night I played racquetball for the first time ever. Sean has been trying to get me to play with him at the gym and I finally did. It was hilarious. I am sure a ridiculous sight to behold if anyone happened to see us in there. I definitely hit Sean with the ball almost immediately. There were many near-misses and he was starting to suspect that it was purposeful–the thing is, I’m so uncoordinated I could never coordinate that sort of aim. Ha! Anyway, it was a total crack-up and more enjoyable than hitting the elliptical.

Anyway, I am just realizing that Christmas is coming up quicker than I thought and the quiet Christmas we had planned has morphed into a much more since all 3 of Sean’s brothers will be here. Just me in a crowd of dudes. So, needless to say, holiday meal planning is already in full effect. Good things everyone’s making delicious things on the internet just for this exact occasion.

Lemon Dutch Baby with Mascarpone and Honeycomb–I love dutch babies because they’re impressive AND easy. WIN. Also, honeycomb!

Mulled Wine Stump de Noel–this so cute! and seems much less intimidating that the classic rolled version.

Boozy Eggnog Milkshakes–because eggnog is basically just melted ice cream anyway.

The Best Cut-Out Sugar Cookies–these guys have cream cheese in them! I’m intrigued.

Breakfast Banana Cakes–cake for breakfast. YUP.

Eggnog Brownies–OMG, yes. Thanks.

Mini Gingerbread Cake–those rosemary trees!!

Chai Spiced Apple Pie–I love the idea of chai spices in a classic apple pie.

Slow Cooker Winter Minestrone with Split Red Lentils--because it can’t just be cookies and cake and milkshakes in December. We have to eat actual dinner too.

Garlic Bread Bolognese Meatball Subs–or this could work. I mean, their on garlic bread!!

Around here:

Frosted Birthday Cake Cookies–there’s a secret ingredient that makes these taste like cake batter (hint, it’s fake vanilla).

Golden Ginger & Orange Cake–fresh ginger, golden syrup, orange zest. Also, cream cheese frosting!

Over at Betty’s:

Carbonara Chicken Alfredo Stuffed Shells–so easy, so good!
