I’d Eat That

Earlier this week I visited some of my friends and their babes, plus I got to sneak in some niece time. It was so fun to see Casper playing with his little pals! I stayed with my BFF, Brooke. Her daughter is a few months older than Casper and she called him “Caster” the whole time, he gave her several kisses, and it all just melted my heart into a puddle. There was one instance where they were holding hands in their car seats and chanting “Dada!” over and over. Her son is only a few months old and Casper was mesmerized by him, he would talk to him and try to feed him his bottle. Then my ovaries exploded. I am also good friends with my best friends sisters and one of them has 2 little gals, too. Her older daughter is around Casper’s age and they both have a daring, mischievous streak–double trouble! Her younger daughter is basically a ray of sunshine. She’s the IRL heart-eyes emoji and Casper tried to feed her his bottle, too. The kids were hilarious to watch. I also saw my nieces, one of whom started kindergarten this year. Which sort of blows my mind that she’s in school. It was a quick trip but so fun and provided much-needed bestie time. We even snuck out one night after the babies were asleep while Brooke’s husband watched the kids. We got wild and hit up last call at both Ulta AND Target. It was a crazy night.

Anyway, FOOOOODS.

Boobie Cakes–actually, Breast Cancer Cakes with some real words from an amazing gal.

Cane Syrup & Roasted Sweet Potato Hand Pies–these look like a delicious mouthful and Erika always has good words to share.

Brown Butter Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls with Vanilla Bean Creme Fraiche Glaze–I mean, that glaze is everything.

The Best Chocolate Bundt Cake–I’m apt to believe this is the best because a) sour cream, and b) that glossy glaze can do no wrong!

Honeycomb, Three Ways–I LOVE honeycomb. These are just 3 more ways to love it.

Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake–I don’t love dates, but I think this cake is convincing me otherwise.

Drunken Pear Gingerbread–so gorgeous.

Lemon Cake with Haupia Filling and Hibiscus Buttercream–I am smitten with this cake. Absolutely smitten.

Nutella Brownie Tart–I mean, that stencil. No words.

Wallpaper Cakes–one of my favorite shops in PDX has that frond wallpaper. I’m equally obsessed with the cake version.

Watercolor and Gold Leaf Cake Kit–I didn’t know I needed this, but I do.

Chewy Chai Snickerdoodles–more chai things, plz.

Stuff from my kitchen this week:

Spicy Fresh Chile, Tomato, & Bacon Pasta with Ricotta

Pumpkin Banana Spice Pancakes

Have the best weekend!!
